Monthly Fast Food & QSR Retail Network Report – January 2023

We are pleased to share our monthly Retail Network Report for the Fast Food & QSR sector for January 2023.

 This report provides you with insights on store openings and closures we’ve observed in the Fast Food & QSR sector over the past 3 months to January 1, 2023 across all major brands in Australia to keep you informed on the changing competitive landscape.

 During the past three months, we’ve seen a net increase of net +56 stores led by Domino’s (+7), Subway and Mad Mex (both +6). Red Rooster, Sushi Sushi and Nando’s recorded 1 net store closure whilst Pizza Hut had 3 closures and no openings. At a state level, most store openings were seen in QLD (+21) and NSW (+16). NSW accounted for the most closures (-6).
